How it’s made
Sustainable Wood Harvesting
The wood used to create the straws are harvested to improve the overall health and quality of the forest, increase vigor of the remaining stand, and enhance wildlife habitat.
Japanese traditional Carpentry
The wood is then shaved into thin slices through a traditional Japanese wood-working technique using “Kannas” which are able to shave wood to around 8 microns thick.
Then the thinly sliced wood are hand-rolled into wooden straws.
